Close the Sauna Door: If it’s safe to do so, close the sauna door behind you to help contain the fire. Do not open the door unless necessary.
2. Using a Fire Extinguisher:
If the fire is small and manageable, and you feel confident to tackle it, follow the steps below to safely use a fire extinguisher:
P.A.S.S. Method: Remember the acronym P.A.S.S. to properly operate the fire extinguisher:
Pull the pin: Pull the safety pin from the handle to unlock the extinguisher.
Aim the nozzle: Aim the nozzle or hose at the base of the fire.
Squeeze the handle: Squeeze the handle of the extinguisher to release the contents.
Sweep from side to side: Sweep the nozzle from side to side, covering the entire base of the fire.
Do Not Get Too Close: Stand at a safe distance (around 6-8 feet) and aim at the base of the flames. If the fire does not start to subside, retreat to a safe location and call emergency services.
3. Call Emergency Services:
If the Fire Grows Out of Control: If the fire cannot be controlled or extinguished quickly, evacuate the area and immediately call emergency services (911 or your local fire department). Provide them with your location and a description of the situation.
4. After the Fire is Extinguished:
Do Not Re-enter Immediately: Wait for confirmation from the fire department or authorities before re-entering the sauna. The structure and heating elements may still be unsafe.

Contact Ukee Sauna Rentals staff right away to report the alarm. We will guide you through the next steps and address the issue.
5. Do Not Re-enter
Do not re-enter the sauna until instructed by Ukee Sauna Rentals staff or emergency personnel. The sauna will need to be properly inspected and ventilated before use.
6. Seek Fresh Air
After evacuating the sauna, make sure to get to a well-ventilated area and breathe fresh air. If anyone feels unwell or experiences symptoms like dizziness, nausea, or headache, seek medical attention immediately.
7. Emergency Services
If necessary, or if you feel the situation is unsafe, call emergency services (911 or your local emergency number) for assistance.
